Abhishek Dubey
PostDoc; 2021-2023
Abhishek’s research concentrated on unraveling the impact of floxouridine, an anticancer agent, on modulating proteostasis and its role in enhancing survival under low-temperature conditions in C. elegans nematodes. Additionally, he explored the mechanisms of rare diseases linked to the FEM1C and MAPK1 genes. The outcome of his research materialized in the publication of four articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Communications and Human Molecular Genetics. Abhishek secured an academic position at the Leibniz Institute on Aging - Fritz Lipmann Institute in Prof. Maria Ermolaeva's group.
Aniruddha Das
Ph.D. student; graduated in 2023
Aniruddha's work in our lab was remarkable - his research on the synergic cooperation between the CHN-1 and UFD-2 ubiquitin ligases resulted in a first author article that graced the cover of the EMBO Journal. Aniruddha's successes earned him a post-doc position at the University of Texas at Austin in Prof. Andreas Matouschek's group.
Katarzyna Banasiak
Ph.D. student; graduated in 2023
Katarzyna pushed the boundaries of our knowledge of muscular exophergenesis in C. elegans, and her efforts resulted in three articles in this field, one of which made it to the cover of EMBO Reports. Moreover, she co-authored two other articles on the ubiquitin-proteasome system. But it wasn't just her scientific achievements that set her apart - Katarzyna was also a dedicated and committed member of the Ph.D. students’ community, always organizing events that brought us all together.
Konrad Kowalski
Master’s student and Research Assistant; defended Master's thesis in 2022
Konrad has co-authored two articles - Turek et al., 2021 and Piechota et al., 2022, and successfully defended his master's thesis at the University of Warsaw. If that wasn't enough, Konrad has now set his sights even higher - he has begun his doctoral studies at the renowned Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, where he will work under the supervision of Dr. Adam Kłosin.
